Finally, we have the basics of our plan to travel cross-country this summer in our RV. As it stands now, we'll travel in 20 states over 16 days and will visit some of the most incredible places in the country.
In short, we'll head up to the Badlands of South Dakota to spend July 4th at Mt. Rushmore. Then we'll head up to Montana to drive on the Beartooth Highway approaching Yellowstone. We'll set up a camp for a few days on the Montana side of Yellowstone and will use this as a base for visiting the park, Teton and the surrounding areas. Then we'll head down to Jackson Hole, WY where Michelle, Riley and Brock will whitewater raft on the Snake River! From there we'll head to Lake Powell in Arizona before driving over to the Grand Canyon (can't wait to go on the Skywalk!). We'll then weave our way down to the Carlsbad Caverns, cut across Texas and make our way to Mammoth Cave in Kentucky. Then back up to Virginia...whew! Can't wait!!
